Life Group Questions | February 23, 2025

  1. The reception of the Gospel for the Thessalonians was not trouble-free. Let’s look at the conduct of the messengers. Read 1 Thessalonians 2:1-16. This is from Paul, Silas, and Timothy. What was their conduct like when they were with the Thessalonians?
  2. How did their conduct with the Thessalonians help convey the truth of the message of the Gospel?
  3. It is possible for someone to be persuasive but not speak the truth. What are some ways that you have experienced this problem in life? How have you learned to discern what is true from what is false?
  4. We heard from Proverbs 1:7, Proverbs 9:10 and John 15:18 on Sunday. Think of some times when you have had to stand up truthfully when it was difficult. What was that like? What kept you strong in the process?
  5. Speaking of truth: What do we do as a body of believers that helps us pursue truth together? How can we keep doing that more (and better)?
