This Life Group season runs from September 14-December 14, 2025.
- Let’s begin with Philippians 3:15-21. It is easy to be captivated by seemingly important things in this life (earthly things). Work on two levels here. What are some fun fads you engaged in as a kid? What are some examples of more problematic earthly thinking you’ve seen in life?
- How does a person get deceived into believing earthly thinking will benefit them? Take a look at Psalm 73.
- Where do you see the false promises of the world in Psalm 73?
- Where do you see the goodness of God’s promises in this Psalm?
- How does the Psalmist respond when they feel disheartened by what they see in the world?
- Now go back to Philippians 3:20-21. How does a person eagerly wait for the Savior?
- Both Psalm 73 and Philippians 3 include promises from God. What promises from God have you already experienced as you follow Christ?
