This Life Group season runs from February 8-March 21, 2025.
One of the themes this week was friends, particularly having friends who can be there through adversity, lament, and grief.
- Let’s begin with poor advice from friends. Take a look at Proverbs 22:24 and 1 Corinthians 15:33. What have you learned in life about why it matters to have good friends?
- Proverbs 27:9 uses a nice image to present the goodness of a friend. What are some of the qualities of a good friend?
- What is some of the best advice you’ve ever received from a friend?
- When have you experienced the steady presence of a friend in difficult times? What were the benefits and blessings of that friend’s presence?
- In John 15:13-17, Jesus tells the disciples that they should be good friends. How has Jesus been a friend to you in life? What have you learned from Jesus about being a friend to others?
- Galatians 6:2 and Philippians 2:3 both illustrate how we as believers can practice Christlike friendship. In what way are we as a body of believers living these two verses faithfully?
