Life Group Questions | March 8, 2026

One of the themes this week was friends, particularly having friends who can be there through adversity, lament, and grief.

  1. Let’s begin with poor advice from friends. Take a look at Proverbs 22:24 and 1 Corinthians 15:33. What have you learned in life about why it matters to have good friends?
  2. Proverbs 27:9 uses a nice image to present the goodness of a friend. What are some of the qualities of a good friend?
  3. What is some of the best advice you’ve ever received from a friend?
  4. When have you experienced the steady presence of a friend in difficult times? What were the benefits and blessings of that friend’s presence?
  5. In John 15:13-17, Jesus tells the disciples that they should be good friends. How has Jesus been a friend to you in life? What have you learned from Jesus about being a friend to others?
  6. Galatians 6:2 and Philippians 2:3 both illustrate how we as believers can practice Christlike friendship. In what way are we as a body of believers living these two verses faithfully?
