This Life Group season runs from September 14-December 14, 2025.
- We looked at the promise of a New Heaven and New Earth (+New Jerusalem) this Sunday (Revelation 21:1-22:21). There are lots of tangible images here, what are the one or two that fill you with hope?
- You only get to heaven through Jesus and you will only be able to enjoy it because you are a new creation in him. Let’s consider how you are being made into that new creation starting now. Read 1 John 2:26-3:10. Through Jesus we are part of God’s family (children). When you were a child, think of a place that you liked to visit but never felt fully comfortable (a store, relative’s house, place with breakable things). What is it like to feel out of place like that? How did you behave in those settings?
- Now think of a place you felt most comfortable as a child. Where was that, what was it like, how did you feel and behave?
- How does a sense of comfortability and belonging change your attitude towards a person or a place?
- If you know Jesus you belong to God’s family. What does John say in 1 John 3 about the behavior, attitude, and hope of those who are part of God’s family?
- What has God done for his children that is so good?
- Why does being part of God’s family now provide hope for what God has in the life to come?
- How can you show that hope in your actions and attitudes today?
