This Life Group season runs from September 13 – December 12, 2026.
We will go in two directions this week. First, who do you look up to. Second, how have you grown through Scripture.
- Hebrews 11:1-12:3 is a great catalogue of people who modeled trust in God, albeit imperfectly (they were human after all). Read the passage and share who you think stands out in this list.
- Beyond the pages of Hebrews, who do you look up to as a genuine model of trust in Jesus? What elements of their walk with Christ do you practice?
- Some branches of Christianity do a very good job of highlighting the lives of witnesses through history. What stories of faithful witnesses do you think we should share at First Covenant?
- Concerning Scripture. Thus Sunday we worked on Scripture memory together: a powerful tool for growth. What is the most meaningful way that you engage with God’s word?
- Read Hebrews 4:12-13. What does this passage mean? What happens when we do not treat God’s word with the importance and priority it deserves?
- What sort of transformative moments have you experienced through God’s word recently?
