This small group season runs from March 26 – May 21.

“The end we ought to propose to ourselves is to become, in this life, the most perfect worshipers of God we can possibly be, as we hope to be through all eternity.”

Brother Lawrence (b. circa 1614-1691)*
  • Worship is the theme this week, specifically worshiping together. Koinonia is the Greek New Testament word that would sum up this concept (“fellowship”). Most of the New Testament assumes this idea. Almost all the letters are written to churches, and those written to individuals point back to koinonia. What is so important about koinonia or fellowship as the church?
  • Read Philippians 2:1-4. What does Paul mean by things like “being united with Christ” and  “being like-minded”?
  • Philippians 2 and similar passages are not just theoretical, they are practical. How have you seen people live the words of Philippians 2 within the church (not just First Cov)?
  • If we have the mindset of Philippians 2, how would this affect how we worship together on Sunday?
  • Think back to some memorable experiences you have had in corporate worship. How has worshiping together with others impacted how you view and approach the living God?
